About Me
Welcome to my site! Joseph Carrick here; a dynamic professional with a successful first career in Higher Education working for the University of Central Florida, successful first leg into the aviation world, a passion for adventure, and a desire to be the best that I can be.
Throughout my life a few things have always stuck with me: discipline, dedication to whatever the current craft may be, and a relentless and tireless work ethic to get me where I need to be to ensure success.
This was the case throughout High School balancing sports and schooling while working, stayed with me steadily through college balancing schooling while working two jobs, and carried onto my professional career leading the scheduling team in creating the Academic Schedule for one of the largest Universities in the United States and launching a brand new campus in Downtown Orlando while attaining my MBA.
In April 2024 I embarked on a new journey into the aviation world. With no experience in aviation I knew that this was going to take that relentless work ethic and push me to my limits mentally and physically. It was apparent during the first week of ground school when I realized that all of the other students had some level of experience that I was going to have to push myself even harder than I may have thought I could and I did just that.
Over the next 16 months I relentlessly worked on the craft at hand: becoming the best pilot that I could possibly be. Pushing myself as hard as I possibly could working daily, weekly, and sometimes even months straight at times. With this dedication and drive I was able to attain my PPL, IR, CPL, CFI, Multi-add on, and CFII certificate over these 16 months. A successful first leg of the new aviation adventure that I found myself on!
Now onto my next journey, Flight Instructing! I’m looking forward to passing along my wealth of knowledge and experience as we work to attain your aviation goals!
